This course is open to individuals responsible for managing situations involving environmental contaminants or complaints. Individuals who will benefit from this course include building owners, property managers and operators, REIT directors, hospital and facility managers, safety and security managers and others.
Course Objective
Course attendees will gain a general understanding of the types of hazmat threats that can occur and become more informed on environmental contamination and infectious disease containment This course will educate the responsible manager on how to recognize a potential environmental hazard, provide an initial response to the complaints which address occupant concerns without increasing liability, and learn which types of situations should be handled by in-house personnel versus licensed contractors.

After completing your registration, use the link found under Course Materials to create a username and password to access the CERT course materials.


You will receive a registration confirmation by email once the TSCTA transaction has been completed. Included in your confirmation email, you will find travel information as well as instructions on how to access your course materials.

The CERT Institute will email you a link to access the course materials seven (7) business days prior to the start of the training.

Day of Training

Students are required to bring in all course materials on the day of the class. Your student materials are all electronic and as such, students must bring their own laptop/tablet and charger in order to fully participate in the training.

Hardcopy documents will not be provided.

Notice of Cancellation

Should a determination to cancel or postpone this training, you will be notified approximately five (5) to seven (7) business days prior to the training start date.
